Dr. Mary-Elizabeth Pearce Named Principal of KLIS

The KL International School (KLIS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Mary-Elizabeth Pearce has been appointed as Principal.

Based on Dr. Pearce’s exemplary record of school leadership, and her international education experience in Nepal, Chile, Namibia, and most recently United Arab Emirates, the decision was unanimous. Her tenure will begin in August 2017.

Dr. Pearce began her work in education as a certified elementary teacher, and went on to receive her administrative license for Elementary, Middle, and High School. In addition, she received her Doctorate from Northeastern University, focusing on professional development for teachers in support of strengthening instruction and increasing academic achievement for students.

Before coming to China, Dr. Pearce worked in non-profit management in educational programming with Americorps and Citizen Schools in the United States.
